After leaving Art School he worked in the
Glass Reinforced Plastics Industry for many years.

The early years were mainly devoted to the research and
development of a silk-screen printed transfer process,
to include decorative motifs in G.R.P mouldings (mainly used for
luxury baths). The later years were taken up with the detailed
design of building panels.

In the early 1970’s, while still working in G.R.P. he started to set up
a pottery in the old bake-house behind his parents shop in Sussex.

Five years later he moved, to Hayling Island where he established a new
pottery, and continued working part time in the glass fibre industry.
